St. Monica's Food Pantry
Over 27 years ago, since the chartering of the Texas Spring Cypress (TX) Chapter (TSCC), the chapter has played a major role in the transformation of Houston and in particular Acres Homes. Our programming seeks to empower people by providing educational scholarships, civic involvement education, life skills, and promote healthy habits towards economic development. We have relied on our sponsors, member contributions, community philanthropy, fundraisers, and volunteers to offer quality programming. The success of the community depends on positive role models, mentoring, training, and connection to the right resources.
Due to the pandemic and pivoting to a virtual environment, technology upgrades are more important than previous times for our chapter and the community. The chapter is looking to enhance programming virtually that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our recipients. We are confident that our programs are consistent with the mission and interest of the City of Houston by providing essential community services and workforce development.
